Running on, running on empty...

I haven't posted much lately. Maybe it's just the winter doldrums, and there isn't much going on, or maybe, just maybe, I'm having writers block and can't think of anything interesting to write about. I'm gonna go with the latter. Here are a few items from the CR to warm you up on those cold winter nights...

- How is this for arrogance. I'm at the grocery store, spending WAY to much money (thank you Cub foods!!), when I overhear a couple talking about low calorie salad dressings. I don't know these people at all, but procede to butt in on their conversation and tell them that the "Free" dressings are very tasty, at only 1/3rd the calories...I then tell them I've lost 43 pounds in almost 5 months, like they could give a crap!! This makes it official...I am a complete loser!!! But, you know what, I kinda like being a loser!!!

- I have formally filed the papers, transferrring my man-crush status squarely at the feet of the little Spaniard....Ricky Rubio!! Many know that my first was Eldrick"Tiger"Woods, then he couldn't keep it in his wranglers, so I switched to Joe Mauer, who doesn't even play anymore, so I figured it is time....congratulations are in order for the little court magician!!! "She of Small Stature" even digs the hardwood maestro...maybe he will be our celebrity cheat!! (Not that there's anything wrong with that!!)

- I don't think that I could ever vote for Newt, but am positive I could hang with him! This dude gets all the hotties and would be a good hang when I'm out clubbing!! Here is a good campaign slogan....
"Newt in '12....Even I don't know why, but Chicks seem to dig me, so why shouldn't you!!!"

- Hope all is well, as you are all honorary members of our CR community!!!

Bloggy hits the Bloggy wall....

I gotta tell ya...this blogging thing is getting tough...I mean, seriously, as nice as my, shall we say, "Tookus" has become, you can only write about it so many times, before it just becomes redundant...that being said, I'm thinking that maybe I'll take both a Bloggy break, as well as a "I'm way too fat, and need to lose some serious poundage, to shape up both my body and mind" diet break....but, then again, maybe not!!! That being said, here are some random thoughts from the desk of a certain lover of the worlds greatest 'burb, The CR........

-The CR vs. Maple Grove...the CR, hands down, every time...just because I haven't mentioned you lately, Maple Grove, don't think I've forgotten you....you still blow!! Nice windmill, you clowns!!

-Technology at our house just hasn't been working well lately...the van, both laptops, the printer, my phone, water softenener, dishwasher etc etc etc.....I'm not making this up....I just heard a ping from the washing machine, and a certain smallish, imp like, super cute, super hottie say..."What the heck was that?????"....UH OH!!!

-Hoopies won the Cambridge tourney last week, which was cool, and we got to spend an evening with some of the "Hooping for Trophies" parents at a celebration of TeLoRe that evening, which is always a good time!! (mental note to self...the advil works for the headache, not so much for the stomach or queaziness!!)

I'm sleepy....nighty night from the worlds greatest 'burb....The CR!!!

Hotel rooms- Word on the street is that I'll be spending less time in them in the near future, and I couldn't be happier!!! Due to some pending territory shifts, I get to lose about 15-20 nights a year of not sleeping, eating out of boredom, and staring at the ceiling....yeehaw!!!

Tebow- Does Jesus really care who wins the Broncos-Patriots game? I dig the passion, love J, G and the HS..but pretty sure football games are not their top priority....just my opinion!!

The "Nugget"- Whenever I think of her, I smile....to me, that epitomizes love....a collective, ahhhh, is now in order!!

New "CR" hoodie- What I'll be sporting at the "Fun Show" tourney in Cambridge Saturday....Catch the Fun Show fever!!!

Tuck- Nothing cuter than a tilted head glance from the CR doggy....that, and the fact that he is kinda weird make me happy he is in our home!!

Sam- Tells us yesterday, non chalantly, that, "Oh I forgot to bring the sheet home last week, but I made the "A" honor roll....but, just about everybody did, so it's no big deal". Miss Shell and I are like, "What!!! It's a BIG deal to us!!!" Take pride in your accomplishments, my diminutive little buddy!!! He is such an good kid!!!! Very proud!!

Tuck N Me...Chapter 3....

Me and the little dude are just sitting here, waiting for my phone to show up, when I figured I'd get to work on the next installment of "Tuck N Me" (don't forget to enunciate the "T" distinctly, because if you don't, it sounds naughty, is a whole 'nother less interesting, not as time consuming, shall we say, book!). I can't believe how much I like this dog. He is so funny! We'll go for a walk, he'll pass by other dogs, stick his nose in the air, and prance by like he's King Doodoo on Tickle Biscuit Island. But then, we get to the heavy equipment being used on some boulevard work, and he won't even walk by...we have to carry him...kind of a weird dude....reminds me of someone I know that writes a blog known throughout the Midwest!! We couldn't be happier that we adopted the little fella!!!! Maybe I'll do another illustration, and maybe I won't....decisions, decisions.....

Bloggy updates....

Truthfully, I got nuthin'....but here are a few recent happenings from Bloggy and the Blogglings...

-Tuck had to have "The Surgery" this weekend....I can descibe it in one word...Ouch!!! Well, at least now we have that in common, as I was neutered/spayed (he's a dude, so not sure which one it is!!)....hold on...wait for it...here it comes...just about here...on its way...getting closer..and...now.....15 and a half years ago!!! Badumpdump!!!

-"Hoopin' for Heysoos" is up in Cambridge for a quick one day tourney this weekend.....the FunShow always entertains, and my Dad and brother will be there, so that is cool!!

-Heavy D has it down 43 pounds since September 1st...no fad diets, no exercise, just simply counting calories...kinda proud of myself, which is, of course, offset by the fact that I'm not proud of myself for my previous bigness!!

-I promise to try and get back to writing more often...I gotta start carrying a notebook, as I think of stupid stuff to write, make myself laugh, and then forget it before I get home!!!

-"Word on the street" is that someone, Ok it's me, got a new black CR hoodie that will be unveiled this weekend...not sure why anyone would care, but I love hoodies, and the CR....maybe I'll get some new sneeks too...you never know, and I like to keep people guessing!!

Bloggy teams stink....

So, let's see, it's 5:20AM, Bloggy is in Duluth, can't get back to sleep, and figures what better time, than to give a Bloggy breakdown on his favorite teams, listed in order of favoritism.....

1. Minnesota Twins-99 losses, never know if 40 million of payroll is gonna play, but, it's hot stove time, and as my favorite team, I have hope!!

2. Minnesota Gopher Football-A loss to NDSU for God's sake...no offense Fargo friends, but a loss to NDSU is unacceptable. I do have hope here though, as I think Jerry Kill is the answer!!

3. Minnesota Timberwolves-A decent start considering the last 4 years....Love, the Spanish kid and Adelman have me hoping..at least they are interesting to watch, even if they lose. Heck, the Nugget even likes watching the little Spaniard play!!

4. Minnesota Gopher Basketball-If our best players didn't get hurt every year, we would have a chance. This program needs to be better...I mean, we got Tubby Smith as our coach, for Nzgmazabo's sake!!!

5. Minnesota Vikings-Hoping they move to Los Angeles, and while they are at it, move the whole league to LA,....snoozarama!! (Kinda reminds me of my blog!!)
